SERVETTE FCCF – FC AARAU FRAUEN: CONFIRM FOR THE HALF
4-0 winners over FC Aarau Frauen in the first leg, the Servettians must now confirm at home to secure a semi-final. The return match will be played this Saturday at 7 p.m., at the Stade de la Fontenette.
The Genevans did the job against FC Aarau Frauen in the first leg of this Playoff quarter-final. They won 4-0 thanks to successes from Malena Ortiz Cruz, Therese Simonsson (2x) and Maéva Clémaron. This four-goal advantage offers a very comfortable cushion to José Barcala’s players with a view to qualifying for the semi-final.
However, in football, everything can happen very quickly and the team will have to be rigorous and concentrated in order to avoid a snub at the Stade de la Fontenette. On the contrary, the Servettians have every interest in having a solid match in order to build significant confidence for the rest of the Playoffs.
This return match of the quarter-final of the AXA Women’s Super League Playoffs will be played at the Stade de la Fontenette this Saturday, from 7 p.m. Entrance is 10 CHF (8 CHF for women and/or reduced rates). The match is free for children up to 12 years old.
In the event of qualification for the next round, the Grenat will find either Grasshopper Club Zürich or BSC YB Frauen. The two teams parted with a draw (1-1) and the return match in Bern will be thrilling.
