FRAUENTEAM THUN BERNER-OBERLAND – SERVETTE FCCF 0-5 (0-1)

In Thun, the Grenat did the job by winning 5-0 and secure first place in the regular season with one day remaining!

In Thun, it is a somewhat reworked Servette FCCF which presents itself against the Bernese. With in particular the first minutes in garnet for Van Nuland and Onyinyechi. The Garnets will quickly get their foot on the ball and create chances. Without, however, being able to find the fault. Armed with patience, the Genevans will be rewarded in the 40th minute when Saoud finds Mendes’ header for the 1-0.

After tea, the Garnets set off again, creating and making their opportunities come true. Saoud, Jonusaite and Korhonen all found the back of the net in 20 minutes of play. Korhonen scored Geneva’s fifth and final goal a few minutes before the end.

With this victory, the Servettians are assured of finishing in first place in the regular season, for the fifth consecutive year! Now it’s time for the international break for the Garnets before closing the regular season on April 13 with the reception of FC Zürich for the clash at the top of the AWSL.
